Adam Parore – it’s about mortgages not cricket

I read with some frustration Adam Parore’s column where he states it’s time to ‘make a clean break from the past’

All he wants is to maintain a public profile in order to drum up customers for his mortgage broking venture. Thus it’s natural he will say things that get a reaction and get people talking. He knows how the media works, and he’s doing it well.

His latest article has zero credibility. Consider that before the Chappell Haddlee series victory, he bagged the team. After we won it, he decided that we actually had a shot at winning the world cup.

Now he has described Fleming’s resignation as captain as him ‘falling on his own sword’. That is hardly the term I would use for the resignation but Parore is out to make as loud a noise as possible.

‘Expert’ columnists like Parore cannot too seriously. They are usually in the business of keeping up a profile, or selling newspapers or both. When things are going wrong in their sport, it’s all too easy for them to point the finger at someone or something.
