About

It started in 1999 after I attended the All Blacks v France semi final in the Rugby World Cup – my first AB’s game.

The next day at work, I wrote a scathing email about what had happened, and sent it to a few mates. I can’t remember exactly what I said on that email, but afterwards I remember thinking that a lot of it was well off the mark.

I was not the only one. The NZ media crucified the team and coach and I thought their reporting was pretty crap – I’ll post about it at some stage.

Before I get distracted I should mention that that email was the fusion of a love of sport, and the enjoyment I get from writing. Many years later, my mate set up this site for me, so it’s been a long gestation.

I don’t profess to be a journalist or have any more credibility than the average bloke at the pub. But like that average bloke, I’ve got opinions on important things like sport - and here you can read them.

Mainly I talk about:

League: During winter I am convinced league is hands down the greatest sport ever.

Cricket: During summer I am convinced cricket is hands down the greatest sport ever.

Rugby: During the entire year I am convinced that Rugby is a pretty boring, but it’s our national game and I want to see the AB’s do well.
